  1. Approximately 50% of the variation in happiness levels among individuals, is a direct result of genetics. Yes, the happiness gene does exist and some lucky individuals are blessed with it.

  2. Life circumstances account for approximately 10% of the variation in happiness levels.

  3. The remaining 40% is up to us, meaning, we have control over our happiness.

  • Happier people are more confident and have a better self-image. They may be a work in progress, but they are confident in their abilities. As a result, they tend to be more successful in business.
